Focused Acute Care Echocardiography and Lung Ultrasound Workshop

8th October 2023. Cardiac Society Brunei Darussalam successfully held a Focused Acute Care Echocardiography and Lung Ultrasound Workshop as a pre-congress event leading up to our upcoming annual scientific meeting. The workshop was held in Heart Centre, RIPAS Hospital. Doctors from emergency department, critical care medicine, acute medical unit and cardiology department were invited to take part in the workshop.

The workshop covered FATE (Focus Assessed Transthoracic Echocardiography), Extended FATE, FEEL (Focused Echocardiography in Emergency Life Support), Flus (Focused Lung Ultrasound) for Acute Respiratory distress and Acute Chest Pain for Echocardiographic Evaluation. The half-day event consisted of brief lectures, practical demonstration and hand on training for the participants.
